St Athan is pleasantly situated in the most fertile part of the Valeof Glamorgan, bordering the Bristol Channel.

History
The name by which the village is known today is St Athan and as such is a corruption.

Church
The history St Athan Church has become lost to view down the centuries, as is the case with many churches.

School
St Athan’s first School was recorded in 1847.  At that time the population was about 379.
